"If you h*te me that much then reject me!" I roared at Beta Kyro, my chest heaving. "Reject me and get this over with."
Tension sparked the atmosphere. Everywhere became still as Beta Kyro narrowed his gaze to me.
"Yes," Ama piped up. "Reject her, baby. That's the first step to earning your respect back."
Deep down I was a trembling mess, but I stepped forward anyway. "Let me make this a little easier. I, Lumira Frost, reject you Kyro Storm as my mate. May our bond cease to exist from today. Would you accept my rejection?"
I stared at Beta Kyro, waiting.
Ama folded her arms, her lips crooked with a smirk as she anticipated her boyfriend's response.
Delta Jett rose to his feet again, his eyes travelling from his brother Kyro to me.
Mirabel had been quiet all along without a single word.
Beta Kyro cleared his throat. The next words I expected were his acceptance of my rejection, but instead, he c**sed. "F**k this," and stormed out of the living room.
"Babe, Kyro! What are you doing?" Ama scoffed, following after him.
I stood there, transfixed.
The whole thing made absolutely no sense.
If he hated me that much, then why wouldn't he accept my rejection?
