I stood there blindsided. I knew everyone probably saw the look of shock on my face. I tried to hide it as best I could with the most ridiculous smile I've ever made.
My nails dug into myles arm. He knew the amount of pain I was in by seeing him again. When I looked up at the whole 6,4 of him, I saw a glimpse of anger and confusion that crossed his face before it settled down to his normal cool, collected self.
I've never been so relieved that I wore the dress that Amber made me buy.
The dress was black and made of silk. It had very thin spaghetti straps, and the neckline scooped down, showing my cleavage, and snug around my breasts and waist. It came to my ankles with a slit that went all the way to my upper thigh. I wore gold heels with straps around the ankles and gold accent jewelry.
My brown hair was down in waves, and one side was pinned back. Amber done my makeup in a smokey eye that made my violet eyes pop. She convinced me to go with a very bold red lip.
I was completely out of my comfort zone. But when I looked in the mirror, I felt stunning. I honestly could handle anything in this dress. Well, I guess not anything.
I started to sweat. I could feel his eyes on me. When I looked up, his eyes locked with mine. My heart rate picked up. I heard the faint sound of the word mate. Maybe I was hallucinating, or maybe my heart was just playing tricks on me. Whatever it was, I knew he never looked as good as he did right now.
