“No, thank you.” I said huffing at his comment. “Beta Jackson let’s be clear. I am planning this ball but it is not my choice. I did something bad, in the Alpha’s eyes, and here I am.”
“Is this to get back at me, Argus?” It was the Alpha I had spoke to before and he still sounded irritated. “I promised that wouldn’t send you any prostitutes like my dad did for your birthday! Please don’t have that runt plan anything.”
“Runt, Ill give you Runt…” I shouted.
“Stop it, Kiera.” Argus ordered looking pained at my game suggestion. “Jackson, Kane, Kiera here is one of my top warriors and like a daughter to me. I am making her plan the party as her punishment because she hates these types of things. I had to give her some kind of punishment when she killed someone, I was on the verge of banishing… Even though my wolf and I agreed with what she had done.”
“I regret nothing.” I stated. “The only thing I wished was different was that it wasn’t in front of my sister. She hates violence.”
Kiera, 23, is a sassy and independent she-wolf with her sights set on becoming a royal warrior even if her pack thinks only men should train while women stay home and take care of the kids. Kiera would rather die than depend on a man especially after what her father put her and her younger sister, Kymbre, through.
Kiera doesn't care to have a mate and when she finally finds them it only pushes her farther away from wanting that bond. She didn't want one let alone two along with one of them being a complete jerkwad.
After dealing with her sister getting hurt, finding her mates, and dealing with her Alpha's punishment for killing a useless pack member she still had more disappointment when her father's punishment doesn't go as planned. She can't and won't let that slide. She would kill him one day and way before he had the chance to finally kill them. Maybe her mates will help and she can keep them around but if they try to make her stay home like a good little mate she would have to dispose of their bodies.
