There are memories always embedded in our heads even when we try to forget about them they're still there present just like that fateful day, It rained heavily on that fateful day, as usual I laid in bed with my eyes closed, just as my mum has instructed me to. I never understood why my dad was always like this but mum often said that he loved us and he was just going through some rough time which I never understood to matter how hard she explained it because I had no good memory of him.

I heard the door open downstairs which made me close my eyes tightly, I could hear my mum and dad talking in whispers, maybe this wasn't like other days I said to myself as I climbed down my bed and walked towards the door opening it slightly trying to see what was going on

" I'm not drunk, I just had a drink with my friends, there's a difference which means we can now talk" my father said beginning to raise his voice, he had a bottle in his hand.

" I understand you are not drunk, I would like I would like for us to discuss about this in the morning when you feel a lot better" she took off his coat, I couldn't see anything more so I took a step outside the door to the top of the stairs

" I feel better now a woman can you just say it here" he shouted throwing the bottle in his hand to the floor which made my mum flinched, I covered my ears, today wasn't any better.
