The words left Mark's mouth so callously that Mattie almost didn't hear him.
"Wha..what are you saying, Mark?" Mattie asked again as she struggled to stop the tears from falling.
"This relationship was a bet. The ice hockey team bet me 200 dollars to sleep with you, and I have, so I have no use for you."
