It's no secret that I'm different. Abandoned as a newborn, found by a pack warrior, and raised in a children's home in the Blue Ridge Mountains isn't a typical werewolf beginning. Then came Zari, a wolf unlike any other. Well, unlike any other living wolf anyway.
I never really knew what my future held, but I can assure you, feeling two bonds sever before I turned twenty-five was not something I would have expected. The pain, the agony - all it did was fuel me to be the best version of myself possible! Seek out answers? I was tempted, but ultimately, I decided that if I wasn't wanted, then the best thing for me to do was disappear.
So that's what I did...until I was hunted.
