Zelia Bordeaux accompanies her younger sister to visit their aunt. But while on the sea, their ship is attacked by pirates and Zelia meets Captain Jehan from The Whydah Gally. And he is as handsome as he is deadly. Jehan spares their lives, but leave them on a deserted island to fend for themselves. Zelia survives the ordeal and swears revenge. She buys her own ship and set sail searching for Jehan to repay a favor.
When she finds him, a game of cat and mouse begins. And through the fighting, whipping, clapping in irons, a unique bond develops resulting in them finding passion. But they're both stubborn and refuse to submit. Will they love each other or end up killing each other?
