She didn’t want to mess with the past, but at one point, she had to know. That is what she has been telling herself for the past three months.
She wondered what made the past so special that forced everyone in her family, friends, even the man she trusted the most, to lie to her face.
“Yes,” she murmured under her breath. “I’m sure.”
