Kamryn married far too young. When she and her husband married, Kamryn thought it was the beginning of happily ever after, but she soon realized that is not the case. When the news of his latest affair comes to light, she decided enough is enough. When Kamryn tells her husband, she is leaving. He threatens to take their daughter away from her or kill her. Feeling panic, Kamryn creates a solid escape plan after receiving advice from an attorney. The attorney also provides her with legal information so she can get a divorce in another Country.
Kamryn runs to Zurich, where she finds an apartment and a job. Everything is going great; there is even a sexy headmaster she has her eyes on; it turns out he wants her too. Their relationship quickly develops, and Kamryn finally believes she's gotten her fairy-tale. When a note is left in Kamryn's apartment, she begins to panic. Alex promises to take care of her and her daughter. Moving in together, they both realize how much better their life is. Just as they begin to relax, Kamryn's ex-husband resurfaces, and now he has friends. Kamryn's ex makes a deal that she may not be able to refuse.

I've stayed at Baldrick and Mila's for a week. Kamryn only speaks to me at school, but she does let me take Kayla for an hour after school each day. Then I take her home, or Mila takes her. I didn't think Kamryn would stay mad at me for this long. A part of me wonders if she's angry about the letters or if it's Johnathon's passing.
