This story follows Kaya a young Native American girl part of the Puyallup tribe. For many years since her father died Kaya has taking care of her mother who after her father died her mother developed a drug problem, after the death of her father her mother went on to mate with a cruel werewolf so she wouldn't be alone. As time went on her mother had three more pups. Kaya found herself having to raise her younger siblings and take care of the family. Kaya has dedicated herself to protecting her younger siblings from their detached mother and her cruel stepfather. now that she's 18 she has to attend the mating ceremony under the full blood moon. It is a ceremony that all werewolves from they come of age attend once a year until they find their mate. Kaya doesn't want to mate what will happen to her siblings if she finds her mate?
