Xander. The name itself gives chills to every wolf all over the world. Devilishly handsome but wretchedly merciless. For some reason he doesn't believe that he is blessed with a mate as a punishment for how cruel he is but the moment he met her, he decided that the Moon Goddess wanted to play a little game with him.
"Aren't you happy?" I asked, watching him as he stared outside the window. The moonlight shone down on him making him look like the most innocent creature on earth but I know he isn't.
"Happy?" He chuckled dryly without any humor. He sounded sarcastic, "That's not something I have ever felt and will ever feel" He said, his voice vacant of any emotion.
And I didn't know my heart could break into a million pieces at that simple words that he had said.

I smiled as caressed my growing belly as I watched my mate playing with my two-year-old old niece. She's the sweetest one. Nate had named her Claire. A beautiful name for a beautiful girl.
