His jaw clicks and his face looks like he is holding in a rage, hysterical how easy it is to get under his skin. Truths don’t sit well with him I see. Needing to hide my face before he sees the laugh I am holding back, I turn to get an appetizer from a passing tray.
I turn back to my father and see he has regained his composure. “All of that does not change my proposition of you becoming the Maxwell heir once more,” he states firmly.
