The two were unlikely friends, for while one was slow and steady, the other was quick and agile. Despite their differences, they had formed a bond that transcended their physical limitations. Tiotoise was a wise and gentle soul, his shell adorned with intricate patterns that told the stories of generations past. He had lived for centuries, witnessing the rise and fall of empires, the birth of new lands, and the passing of time itself. The Scorpion, on the other hand, was a creature of impulse and instinct. Its stinger was its weapon, and it used it without hesitation or remorse. Despite their differences, Tiotoise and the Scorpion were inseparable. They would spend hours wandering the desert, exploring hidden caves and forgotten ruins. The Scorpion would always play pranks on Tiotoise, stinging him when they least expected it. Tiotoise would grumble and complain, but deep down, he knew that it was just the Scorpion's way of showing affection. One day, a great lion in the village of Ormok announced that he would be holding a grand wedding ceremony. Tiotoise and the Scorpion were thrilled at the news and immediately set out to make preparations. However, on the day of the wedding, a sudden storm broke out, flooding the village and turning the desert into a treacherous sea of mud. Tiotoise, being a creature of the land and water, was able to navigate the flooded terrain with ease. The Scorpion, however, struggled to keep up, its delicate legs sinking into the muck with every step. Desperate to attend the wedding, the Scorpion pleaded with Tiotoise to carry it on his back. At first, Tiotoise hesitated. He knew that the Scorpion had a tendency to sting him when they played together, and he feared that carrying it on his back would only invite trouble. But the Scorpion pleaded and promised not to sting him, swearing on the bond of their friendship. Reluctantly, Tiotoise agreed and allowed the Scorpion to climb onto his back. With the Scorpion holding on tightly, Tiotoise waded through the floodwaters, his strong legs propelling them forward. As they reached the middle of the river, however, the Scorpion suddenly plunged its stinger into Tiotoise's back. Why did you sting me? Tiotoise cried out in pain, feeling the venom course through his veins. The Scorpion looked up at him with remorse in its eyes. It is in my nature to sting, my friend, it said sadly said Tiotoise.
