Fourteen years ago, Jace Corvino and his twin brother, Jordan, came home from school to find their mother murdered by their father, Lazarus. Their father, it seems, led another life as a serial killer. His wife was his latest victim and he was hell bent on killing his sons as well. But Jace put a stop to that, killing Lazarus in self defense.

Following the incident, Jace and Jordan joined the United States Marine Corps, and left the small town of Argent, NM, USA behind. Jace also left behind the only girl he ever loved, Riley Jae Lewis. Fast forward to the present day, Jace and Jordan are now the owners/team leaders of SKULL, an agency that assists law enforcement in finding missing persons or hard to find criminals. When Jace gets a phone call from Riley asking him to help find her cousin's killer, he returns to Argent after all these years. He also hasn't see Riley all this time, and the minute he does, all the love her had for her returns. Perhaps with a little luck he can have her back in his life again?

Riley Jae Lewis was heart broken when Jace left fourteen years ago without so much as a good-bye. But she understands why he did so. But her cousin has been in a very strange car accident, an accident that doesn't make sense. So she calls Jace and asks him to help her solve this strange mystery. But will he want to stay with her forever?
