A soft hand brushed against my cheek, but my eyelids felt far too heavy to lift. A thick, heavy darkness was pulling me down, wrapping around my mind like thick fog. I tried to fight it, tried to cling to consciousness, but my strength slipped away. In the end, I had no choice but to let the darkness swallow me whole.
