Gemma Jarvis has moved to the capital from a little village in the Lake District. Her family life is fraught at best, and she is desperate to rediscover herself. Dreams of starting her own business, and putting her talents to good use keep her motivated, but not being able to have a online presence makes marketing very difficult, and her ambitions seem hopeless .
Her past is determined to stop her progression, and it is making her new life almost as miserable as her old one.
When she meets film star Lincoln Huxley at work, she can't deny her attraction to him, but how can she move on when her yesterdays are influencing her todays? Unfortunately, neither of them can stop helping each other, despite Gemma's insistance to maintain a 'healthy' distance.
Luckily, her neighbour has his own future plans, and, while Gemma can't help herself, she's determined to help him. New friend Luis, isn't about to let the only person who has ever seen him give up on herself.
Can she battle her past to make up a future where she can be happy?
