“What did you do! Are you out of your mind?!” he shouts at me as he tries to turn the oven off and put the fire out.

“I… I turned… I don’t know. I just…” I stutter, still shocked by the smoke and fire invading his kitchen.

“You did it on purpose, didn’t you?”

“What?! Of course not! I told you, I do not know how to cook! You did not believe me!”

“Cut the act Harper! I already told you do not play games with me. I am not my brother!”

“Maybe it is about time you start listening to me. I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO COOK!”

“Why? Because you had a myriad of cooks to do that for you?” He mocks me.
“Because I never even had a roof over my head, let alone a kitchen you humongous jackass!”

“God, you are infuriating!” he yells at me.

“And you are obnoxiously aggravating!” I scream at him.

“Damn it, I want to kiss you!” he shouts at me.

“Then, what are you waiting for?” I yell back without hesitation.

And he captures my lips in a searing kiss. God, I have never been kissed like that before… The fierceness, the possessiveness, the fight for control, the passion… It is as if he is pouring in this kiss all the contradicting feelings he has about you.
