Keena has always been the second choice. Between cousins, she always came as the poor second to Solana Alexander-Petrov, the hybrid cousin.
Growing up, she knew that she can never be measured enough compared to Solana but instead of competing with her, she chose to focus on her training as a warrior. She knew that it was one thing that she was good at. However, whenever Solana was not available, Keena became the pack’s reliever as the temporary beta.
On the other hand, Tati Weasley has always been confident of herself. When her cousin, Winona Strange, the alpha of the Krieger pack, established the security company, Security First, she was the brain of it.
Being the nerd that she was, she was never taken seriously even in the pack. It does not help that she was petite and very straightforward. There were times that she has to pose a challenge so that people would know that she was never a damsel in need of saving.
Tati was also a firm believer that life is consists of choices. Yet, when a person makes a choice, he or she should stand by that decision. It goes the same way with the mating between shifters.
What happened when the moon goddess paired two different individuals? One that never wanted to come in second when it comes to mating and the other that believes that accepting a mate is a choice? Adding salt to the injury was knowing that they were gifted with a woman for a mate knowing that they are as straight as a pole.
What will Tati do if she found Keena seeing another woman? An openly gay woman that would proud to be with her.

THE sound of the glass crashing into the floor resonated in the small cabin.
The innocent toddler went in the direction of the kitchen. Her short legs were walking leisurely since she was holding flush toys in both her hands. A unicorn in one and a dinosaur in the other.
She giggled when she saw the two women in the kit……
