It haunts him every night. 

He blamed himself for not doing anything that day. 

He recognized the killer's face and promised himself to give them justice and bring peace to their souls. 

So, all his life he seeks justice and revenge for their deaths. 

Thus, at an early age, he decided to make a plan, a perfect plan for his revenge.
