"Please, love me." Chen Lei hugged her affectionately from behind with his face buried at the crook of her neck. His arrogant and domineering self were gone. Only a man who was begging for love for a woman. "I can't live without you. It's killing me to see you close with another man."
Geneva laughed with a bitter heart as she tried to break free from his tight embrace. She irritably blurted out, "Let go!"
"I can." A droplet of warm tears slid at the crook of her neck, making her jolt in surprise. Her face distorted in disbelief.
How could a man who lived above others cried and begged just to get her love?
"Promise to love me and I will let go of my hands." He whispered in a shaky tone. "Please, love me, okay?"
Geneva froze and closed her cold eyes. "Mr. Chen, don't you think your request is funny? Shouldn't you ask me to please love you again?"
Chen Lei's body stiffened for a moment then let go of her. With a confused frown on his handsome teary face, he mumbled, "Ask you to love me again?" He chuckled silently and hurtfully. "Did you really love me back then?"

He lowered his head and bitterly smiled, "It's great. It's great that she finally woke up. I'm relieved now. I can leave this city without worries."
