Emma Lamphrey looked down at the small town below from her beat-up car outside Dayton, Ohio. She grew up in Yellow Springs, a town she thought she would never see again.
She left Yellow Springs when she graduated from high school and ran away to New York for a greener pasture. But life in the Big Apple was not what she expected it to be.
After ten years of serving beers in a pub and singing, she received an e from a public lawyer's office asking her to return and take care of the house and the land her grandmother left her.
Carter Cassingham never left Yellow Springs. He loves this small town and its rich culture. He married but lost his wife after giving birth to their daughter, Calla.
