Dante Blackstone's life has always been about him. From the moment he was born, to the day he was discovered by one of the biggest record labels in the world. There are rumors about him and his family. Dark and frightening. Yet none of that stops the endless supply of fans from trying to get their hands on him and he lives for it. Taking whatever he pleases as he sees fit. That is until his best friend Kelly Hayashi starts bringing around the new girl. Ashley Villanueva.
Ashley's sole purpose in life is to play the piano and she'd do anything to ensure that the sheet music is never swept away. Hellbourne Academy is her ticket out of the Southside, but the girls at the academy aren't very welcoming. All except for a little Japanese cutie, Kelly. Kelly seems to come out of nowhere every time Ashley gets into trouble and the closer they become the more it seems to find them.
The town is crawling with Hallow hunters and Dante wants nothing more than make sure Kelly doesn't get caught but he can't find a way to keep her still. Blaming Ashley for Kelly's recklessness he sets out to find out who this girl is and how to keep the two of them from getting themselves killed. As he steps outside of his world and into Ashley's he sees that she's not just some foul-mouthed delinquent sent to the Academy to destroy his peace. However, someone is feeding information to the hunters and he doesn't believe in coincidences. As pretty and wild as Ashley maybe, he doesn't trust her and would rather be rid of her all together than lose Kelly or any member of his stone.
