Hera Kline's life changes forever when three werewolves crash into her home in the human town, Wardsville and kill her parents. Hera is bitten and badly injured that she ends up passing out. She wakes up in the midst of her parent's decaying bodies but she is completely unscathed and injury free.
Her body begins to undergo some unfamiliar changes and she vows to get answers and revenge on her parents' killers and for this reason, She journeys into Blood-Stone, the home of the werewolves and the town that shares borders with Wardsville.
On arrival at Blood-Stone, Hera meets the Alpha King and her mate, Rune Hemming under unlikely circumstances and they engage in a dance of intense attraction, sizzling romance and danger. Soon, Hera discovers something dark and sinister from her past which had been long buried and forgotten and it threatens to ruin her life forever.
