Eyes the color of gold stare into her.

Calling out to her very soul.

Is this what it feels like to meet your soulmate? Her body trembles when he steps out of the shadow in the most glorious form of a beast. Her heart locks in her throat and breath shallowed as he steps closer and closer. Interested over the woman standing in front of him. He was supposed to spy the enemy's camp when a delicious scent lured him to her and the moon bestowed the beauty in front of him.

Why is his heart thumping hard?

Why does the beast in him want to claim her?

'Mate. Mate. Mate.'

His beast repeats the same word in his head over and over again. What does that mean? He heard of it once from his comrades but his father would never let them talk such 'rubbish' among his armies. He was curious at first but his father wishes him not to worry behind that word. All his life, he only knows how to fight and followed his father wishes without hesitation. And so, he did. He never questioned the man at all. His father perfected him to kill those defies him and he granted it without questions.

He thought he did the right thing.

A mere boy following his father's order for revenge.

Back to the woman again, he lifted his nose to breathe in the sensual scent again. It's a mixture of something sweet and tempting. He greedily leans onto her neck and breathes in again. What is this? Why does she have that scent?

"Mate."

Her melodic voice reached his ears for the first time and his heart burst in the most amazing feeling. Why does he feel sudden happiness? And who is this woman?
