"You are a chosen people, a chosen generation to fulfill the mission. You are no longer your own. From now and beyond, you are to live for the cause of these people. You are earmarked to be slaves to the call."

Those were the words that I heard before opening my eyes. After rigorous training and fight for the final selection, I was too exhausted that I passed out. Now, I have no idea about the result of the selection process. I felt sad. For sure, I was disqualified for fainting at the last minute. I began to hate myself.

"Congratulations, Aldrea! You made it!"

I frowned as I turned my head to look at the source of the voice. My jaw dropped when I saw the cruel trainer.

"Sir Lucas?!" I uttered in disbelief.

"You are now free to execute your mission. You can either choose to work alone or work together with the others who qualified."

I was taken aback at what this strict trainer said that I wasn't able to reply immediately until the time he turned his back and left me. I looked around. There are some people like me. All of them are holding their ears. I did the same and felt something different.

Yeah, up until now, I never told them that I am a princess of this kingdom and I am not supposed to bear this mark on my ear. With this, I just made my dad and the whole of Ekron kingdom my enemy!

It was only days back when we both realized that we met during the night of Princess Elizabeth’s birthday. <……
