Just as my lips met his, I was pulled back away by a strong pair of arms. The tingles let me know it was my mate. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" He growled. "SHE IS MINE". With his words, my anger flared. "No! I AM NOT YOURS! You have a wife! You have a son! I do not belong to you anymore than you belong to me. I refuse to be kept as a side piece for when your wolf needs to make himself feel better. I am done! I, Rhea Dewitt, reject you, Alpha Ezra Black, as my mate. Please. If you care at all, accept my rejection and let me be free!" Tears began to pour down my cheeks. He turned and walked away from me, without accepting or refusing my rejection once again. I collapsed in a ball of pain as another strong pair of arms lifted me. "I will take care of you, beautiful. Whether he accepts or not. I will always accept you" He kissed my forehead and carries me back to his room. I fall asleep curled against his warm chest. Why couldn't moon goddess have given me him as a mate instead of Ezra freaking Black.
