READING AGE 18+

“I’ve been staring at you all night unable to place why you look so familiar to me. You may be a regular to that bar but not every weekend. You are a woman who likes to take breaks between her pleasure and work. If you were at that bar as recent as you make it out to be, I would have seen you before. So, tell me, Constance, who the hell are you?”
Again, I rolled my eyes. There was always something wrong with every guy that I jumped into bed with. I placed my hand flat against his chiseled chest, getting turned on by the way his pecks felt underneath my skin. “Listen, I’m not into my life details with random hookups. f**k me or I’ll turn around and leave the same way I came in.”
His eyes narrowed and like if a lightbulb went off in his head, he jumped out of the bed. “What the f**k is your last name?”
“Oh god. You know what? Just forget it, Leon. You’re seriously hot, but I’m not here to make conversation. It was about getting good s*x, but you clearly are more interested in getting to know me. If I made you believe otherwise, I’m sorry.”
I went to pick up my dress off the floor and that’s when I heard it. The sound of a gun c*****g. I would know that sound anywhere. My father taught me at young age to defend myself, so I knew every gun there was that was ever made.
Leon scowled at me before pointing the gun right between my eyes. I didn’t flinch or show that it bothered me because it didn’t. If this guy wanted me to beg for my life, then he was mistaken. I’d rather die honorably than to cower.
“I’m not going to ask but one more time. What is your last name?”
I didn’t see it being a huge deal. So, I stared straight into his eyes and told him the truth. “Ricci. My name is Constance Ricci.” By the look on his face after hearing my name, I knew that I made a grave mistake. Whoever this guy was, he knew exactly who the hell I was, or at least my family name.
