You cannot blame me for having a crush on Elijah Penn. Well, who doesn’t? He was the most popular boy in our school. Good grades. Captain of the basketball team. He is the son of the school principal. He is flawless. No one knows about my feelings because I’m not that stupid to wish for someone as great as Elijah to even notice me.
What are the odds when suddenly, out of nowhere, he came to me and said that he wanted to take me out on a date? I thought I was dreaming.
After I found out that it was only a bet between him and his friend, I was crushed. My feelings for him changed completely.
I hated him to the core. No more Elijah for me.
One afternoon on my way back home from school, I was getting kidnapped by a man.
“Who the hell are you?” I asked him, struggling to open the car door, but it was locked.
He pulled me into his lap, his grey eyes bore into mine. Now that I looked at his face closer, he somehow looked familiar to me.
“Please, Judith. Can you listen to me first?” He said in a deep tone. I then finally decided to give him a chance to explain himself.
“I am Elijah Penn, your husband from the future.” He said. My eyes instantly went wide. Come to think of it, he really looked a lot like Elijah. Only a bit more mature. The man in front of me had the same facial features as my biggest enemy. The only difference is he had a light stubble grown on his jaw, and I have to admit he looked hot. Focus, Judith!
“W-what? Elijah Penn? The one in my class? The basketball captain?” I asked him back in shock. I never knew that time travel was real. I thought it only happened in a movie.
His smile grew wider as he nodded at me. “I came here to find you.”
