A woman running from her past, running from toxicity, abuse and manipulation, runs into a man that embodies everything she should stay away from. But fate has other ideas and pushes them together, as if it was tormenting her with a remembrance of another life she was sure was behind her. Despite her best efforts to keep him at a distance, she soon finds falling for him, falling for his words and the actions he backs his promises with. She discovers unknown things about herself, but it makes her hate herself. He, on the other hand, is not afraid to let what he thinks and feels be known. As a man, he desires her, but as another soul that craves love he wants to know her, but she is so guarded. How is a woman he knows nothing about holding his attention? As they peel back the layers of one another, the past comes barreling their way like a runaway train. Is the darkness of a tainted past stronger than the connection they have? Or can they fight the odds and come out victorious in this mad pursuit of love?
