“Dying is doorway to another life. He lives today. He’ll die tomorrow. And he shall live again. “
There’s a legend of a very powerful witch who had served the Moon Goddess since old times. The Witch had helped the wolves to live in peace. But when they needed her most, she suddenly vanished leaving the wolves to fend themselves. In anger, the Alpha King at that time proclaimed the witches traitor banning them from their land.
Thousands of years later, Xavier Blackthorn the youngest Alpha King to ever lead the wolf shifters, now at age thirty-three, has lead his pack to prosperity. And as a direct descendant of the original werewolves, his wolf is bigger and stronger than most.
Aside from that, Xavier also takes his role of leadership and his legacy very seriously. He has little time for romance, not to mention a true mate. His packs are his priority. With a human government trying to regulate them, an uprising of rogue shifters, and a violent team of scientists trying to experiment on them, Xavier has his hands way too full.
Ren is not enthusiastic to leave his comfortable haven and go back to the States. But he has no choice but to get his species back in line before they cause anymore chaos. At over a hundred thousand years old, Ren is no one to trifle with, but his smooth, charismatic manner makes him quite unique, despite the negative reputation witches have in the Supernatural community. Ren has had nothing but time up to this point. He doesn’t feel the need to make issues pressing. Nothing is urgent in his life. Until he meets Xavier that is.
