Every night I set the coffeemaker to have coffee ready for me when I got up. I’d have some toast with the coffee while I read the paper. It can take between one and two hours to read the L.A. Times in the morning, if you take it easy. Then there were chores: dusting, vacuuming, washing dishes, preparing my meals, organizing my bookshelves……
