Some questions should never be asked out loud. Tara made that mistake. Lost and desperate, she couldn’t stop the words if she tried. “Could things get any worse?” Then she saw him.
He was a vision forged for pure desire, but he was no man, and he was certainly not her knight.
Martin fights for what he wants; it’s all he’s ever done. Just when fate seemed finished with its cruelty, it throws a new complication in his path: Tara. She is a distraction he cannot afford, a spark to a fuse already lit.

The trees closed in around her. Sounds of heavy breathing and growls filled the air and made her skin crawl. Tara could swear she could feel the hot breath on her skin as the wolves drew closer to her.
Suddenly, she jerked. Her heart hammered in her chest to the point of causing physical discomfort. Tara opened her……
