"This isn't fair," Leah screamed again. "Why on earth would he choose Rhea over me? We were getting close this past week and he hardly even knows Rhea."
My legs stopped on their track as I listened to the conversation. Did I hear her say that Estefan chose me? No, it couldn't be. There was no way I would get married to him, not now not ever.
Leah's eyes landed on me and her face turned red in anger. "You!" She pointed her fingers at me. "You did this, didn't you? You must have said something to Estefan that's why he chose you. No wonder you were so negative about us getting married. I should have noticed it that time."
My eyes widened at her accusations. "Leah, What are you talking about? I don't know anything about this. Trust me, I don't want to get married to Estefan. All this came to me as a surprise."
"Stop pretending." She yelled at me and I jumped back in fear. "You have always wanted to be with Estefan that's why you got close to his sister. You and his sister must have done something to make him choose.”
