I Thought I fell in love with the boy next door. For years I yearned for him. I would watch as he plowed his fields for hours. The sweat pouring down his body, his muscles rippling with each movement. I would write all over my notebook Mrs. Alexander Wilkes, Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Wilkes.
His father sold the house and the land practically becoming a billionaire overnight. The family moved away, Alexander got married, and joined the army. I still always thought of Alexander Wilkes.
As I got older, I was surrounded by all the boys. They all wanted to be my boyfriend, and even though I'd go on dates none of them were like Alexander.
The war was over and we were invited for the first time in years to The Wilke's new home. The house was bigger than a mansion. Everyone dressed in fine wears a man stood arms crossed over his chest. He was large and handsome. he was wearing a war captains uniform. He had a think black mustache, and thick black hair that I wanted to run my fingers through.
