The Caves

(Point Of View): Connor

I followed her smell through the dense forest floor, but the more I followed the more the smell started to disappear as if she was trying to mass her smell with everything around. When I couldn’t track her by sent anymore I went off of tracks and broken branches, the more we kept moving with no sign the more desperate we got. It’s been four hours and still no luck with most my weres out looking for her, it was starting to get dark fast as gray clouds rolled in ~”we can’t let mate be out here by her self!”~ ash growled. We kept looking for hours even when the sun was already gone, me and ash kept running threw the night hoping to see her, my beta linking me every hour convincing me to rest while he takes over but my body just couldn’t stop. We ran threw the night without even realizing it until the sun peeked threw the rain, we were miles out from my pack territory slowly getting exhausted Ash howled out in pain, now laying on the floor cold and wet from the rain and breeze to tried to move. Nathan’s wolf Stone came up nudging me on the shoulder whimpering, trying to get me up from the cold ground. I eventually got up and fallowed him back to our pack, I headed straight to my office as others looked at me worried and concerned for their Alpha. I got inside my office and transformed back into human walking over to my couch slamming my self down onto it drained with emotions I never felt before. Nathan went back out with a new crew to look in a different area hoping to have some type of luck, everyone was starting to question why we were searching for this one girl that escaped, some started hearing rumors of me finally finding my mate but many didn’t believe sights I was to focused on my pack and title instead. Nathan forced me to stay inside while he took care of things no matter how much rest I had already gotten, all I could do was paste back and forth losing my temper, I punched my wall helping to release some tension. It was two PM now as I sat back in my chair agitated shaking my leg up and down, Ash did noting but howl out in pain inside my mind that ache threw out my heart. I sat in my chair losing hope until Nathan came through my mind *“couple rouges been spotted up a few miles out side our territory by the caves.”* I couldn’t help but be over come by anger and fear hoping Alicia wasn’t in that area. I ran out my office and headed outside transforming into my wolf, running as fast as I could to my beta.

I did noting but run with noting but forward on my mind, I stoped when I came up across a big cave, it was getting dark so I decided to head in side and rest for the night. I was covered from head to toe in mud thinking if I covered my scent the best I could the further I could get away, even for werewolves blending into nature was a smart call. I stayed in the caves as it gotten darker, holding my self in a ball for hours shivering cold with noting but my own thoughts beating me. I’m I really a werewolf too? Repeating my brothers transformation in my mind, it wasn’t the first time I seen others change into their wolf but the fact of seeing my own flesh and blood do it was mind blowing, everything Reynolds been doing is real even if I didn’t want to believe it. I was freezing my ass off all night, I didn’t want to make a fire cause I didn’t want to bring attention to myself. It was morning time as you bearly saw the sun threw the rain, it was pouring down so hard the cave had small water falls coming down from it, I didn’t wanna leave and freeze more so I thought about staying in the cave til the rain lightens up. I sat around in the cave for a couple hours more to the rain still pounding down on everything, I decided I should stay in the cave one more night or until I can think of my next move. I tryed making myself comfortable on some rocks resting my head on it and taking a small nap before the night creeps up, it was a small sleep until I got woken up from some noise coming from outside the cave that was a different sound then the rain that l been hearing the whole time. Branches was being stepped on as you heard them crunching, it sounded like it kept getting closer to the cave the louder it got. Couple of people started talking as they also got louder coming closer to the caves entrance, I made my way quickly more into the cave hiding behind big rocks that was far in the back. I peeked over and waited, within seconds five guys came in the cave and started to make them self comfortable as they also tryed to escape from the rain. They looked like they all stood about six feet tall as they started undressing and changing into dry clothes, when they finished they all scattered threw out the cave finding places to get comfortable taking a seat on the rocks and laying down on the flat parts. One of them stood at the entrance looking out “we should be at the SilverMoons territory now” “ finally” “about damn time” “yeeess”as everyone had a comment to say that filled up the caves walls “well rest here for tonight and move first thing in the morning, hopefully with the rain being on our side washing away our prints and smell, we won’t be detected until we are gone” they all started to settle down more gathering around on the ground and taking out what looks like to be alcohol. “How long do you thing it will take those flee bags to know we are here?” “Well hopefully as long as the wind blows the right way and our tacks getting washed away, we should be fine for now” “lucky it’s raining huh” as they all started laughing. I didn’t know what to do as I kept peeking behind the rocks making sure they were still where they were, I made sure I stayed down the best I could without making to much noise. They continued to talk for hours back and forth but never brought up any reason why they were here, it was hard to tell how late it was from the outside without getting caught. I didn’t know how long I was hiding my legs was starting to go numb from the position I had them. Most of the men fell asleep besides two, they kept passing each other back a mason jar that I’m pretty sure has moonshine in it sights he said “this is the best darn moonshine I ever had in my life” earlier. I watched them for thirty minutes handing the jar back and forth to each other, finishing the whole thing to themselves. “I gottah take a leak man” as he stood up stumbling on out the cave, while the other one was drifting off and singing. The others started to wake up due to him singing, now all watching as the other guy comes stumbling back in as they all laughed at him. Everyone was distracted watching the guy stumbling around almost face planted trying to sit back down, I also got distracted not realizing one of the guys separated from the group until it was too late. “Well, well look at what we have here” hearing a harsh voice from above me, I stumbled back onto the bed of rocks behind me, he jumped down in front of me off the rocks and grabbed me by the arms pulling me close to him. We walked out from the rocks as he pulled me along with him to the other men “lookey at what I found boys” throwing me into the middle of all of them falling to the floor “she smells weird, I can’t till if she’s human or wolf” one of them spoke “well ain’t that interesting “ another one answers. They kept circling me as they checked me out, each time they got closer they got more handsey, while they whispered to one another “how about we just have a little fun” as one of the drunk ones shouted, he came up to me trying to wrap his hand around me. I kept dodging him and slapping their hands away the best I could, until someone came up behind me and pinned me to them, two more came up in front of me helping the other one hold me down as I fought the best I could. Another one comes trying to ply off my shirt as I yelled STOP!” and screamed, the one behind me put his hand over my mouth now covering it. They got me into my bra then moved down to my pants, I kept kicking for my life as they tryed getting ahold of my legs. When I thought I was about to break free someone punches me in the ribs as another slaps me across the face, I did noting but fight the best I could until I felt sharp punctual type pain coming from my left thigh and right side rib cage, as they drove their teeth in me. I felt my body weaken to the pain now falling to the ground, feeling my body being taken advantage of as they took my pants off and starting moving their hands all over me. All of a sudden howling and growls echoed from all over the cave as my body fell back down fast to the ground, I saw all of the guys taking off and started fighting. I tryed moving but the pain consumed my body as I laid on the ground, covered in blood that kept coming out my leg and side, blackness started to fill my eye sight drifting off to sleep.

It took three hours for me and couple of my warriors to get up in the cave areas, that is the border line of my territory its usually a dangerous area to be in even for us sights there’s a lot of bears here. We ending up catching our smell of rouges in the air, when we followed it they left sloppy foot tracks behind probably thinking the rain would have washed them away. We followed there tracks for a couple more minutes until it lead to a huge cave entrance, I ran with my warriors to the sides of the entrance as we surrounded it. I had every one on link as we snuck inside, we came up on some rouges trying to have their way with someone covered in mud, I immediately howled out hoping it wasn’t Alicia, all my warriors followed along as they jumped in and attacked. The moment I smelt that intoxicating smell rise up from the rouges, my wolf lost it immediately knowing they had our mate. I lost control as my wolf stoped now howling in pain, my body began breaking its bones now growing 10 feet tall and standing on my back legs, my hair grew longer as it shined pure gold. My Lycan came out charging to the rouges, covering the floor in their blood.
