The white empty page of the logbook filled my vision and my eyes traced every line on it, as I tried to find any evidence or remnants of my previous writing in there. My hand slowly reached for the page and caressed the paper and felt it against my fingers – it was as smooth and clean as new. Is this the same logbook I used before?
I tightly held the old black ballpen in my hand, then placed its tip against the paper and started writing my name, the date, and my concern. I wrote the exact characters and information I did before without missing any word.
“Here. Thank you.” I said while giving back the logbook to Saito as soon as I finished writing. I gave him a faint smile, and he did the same.
