After about ten minutes, the manager brought Jennifer, who had changed into a short white dress, to the room.
The manager asked Jennifer to sit down beside Edison, “Jennifer, this man is the guest of our boss. Your job tonight is to make him happy. Double salary, remember?” He pushed Jennifer closer to Edison before leaving the room and closing the door.
Jennifer was just a waitress who could not afford to lose her job. She poured herself a glass of wine and put on a big smile, “Here, Edison, this one is for our friendship,” she still found it hard to believe that Edison was here for a dinner, and as her boss’s guest. It was a good chance for her to win him over. Maybe she could get something from this, either a promotion or money. God knows, she needed more money right now.
