Rosa's POV.
"I don't need you following me everywhere," I whispered, staring down at my hand in my lap. "I don't know what you're trying to prove, but I have a life, and I don't want to go with you on my college trip."
I finally said it.
Ah... huh! I took a deep breath. The silence spread across the room, and suddenly the screeching sound of a chair being pushed back broke through the atmosphere. My eyes flickered toward Max as he stood and began walking towards me, like a hunter moving toward his prey.
I got up abruptly as he came near. His eyes never left mine. My breath hitched as he leaned forward. I closed my eyes in fear. His warm breath tickled my cheeks as his husky voice murmured in my ear, "Do as you wish." He pulled back the next moment. My eyes fluttered open. His intense……
