Rosa's POV.

Maximo came late at night and left early in the morning as if he was avoiding me. Though I did not see him, I knew he was there last night. The bed sheet on his side of the bed was wrinkled, and when I went to the bathroom, the shower panel was wet. It meant he got ready early.

Then he called me in the afternoon. I was upset with him, so I did not pick up the call. He kept texting me when Mariya and Mia were in my room and talking to me. But I didn't reply to any of his text messages.

He did not come home that night, and I became worried about him.

I kept my ego aside and forgot about the problems between us. I tried to reach out to him on the phone, but he did not answer my calls.

I did not want to think about why he was not picking up my phone and avoiding me. Maybe he was ……
