By the time Avery finished changing and walked the short few blocks to Cocoa Remix, it was almost two o’clock. She was a bit jittery from the coffee, not to mention the revelations of the morning, but found that once she walked into the sweet smelling, quiet of the chocolate shop, her anxiety faded. It wasn’t a sudden thing; it’s not like her concerns disappeared. They were just soothed by proximity to sweets, it seemed.
She blinked, and looked around, wondering for the first time if this was her own natural reaction to being in a soothing space, or if her reaction was being influenced by an enchantment that was placed on the shop. Once she knew what she was looking for, it was obvious the shop had enchantments; the shop didn’t have multiple locations, it had a door linked to multiple doors……
