It was well into the night when Penelope woke up. Sebastian and Carrie had done their best to keep her cool, but in the end needed to dose her with a strong sleep spell to get her under control. She had a tendency to become feral a few hours into her heat, and even though Sebastian and Carrie were, for the most part, immune to her hormones, Ryan was definitely not. The poor Gamma had holed himself up in the basement, where their gym and training room was located, in a bid to distract himself from her overpoweringly sweet and tempting scent, and because having several floors between them gave Sebastian and Carrie a better chance at stopping her in the event that she did get past them.
She groaned weakly as she fumbled around for her phone to check the time, and her messages. The chiming noti……
