The ride back to the cabin has been completely silent. Harlow didn't even bother putting on her earpiece at all, not interested in talking, not interested in justifying herself further. It was a fight that she never should have instigated with Austin, it wasn't even truly a fight, it was Harlow against herself with only a few words from Austin. But it hurt worse than any physical altercation.
It hurt so much. She hated what she heard, she hated hearing the way he thought about her because it is true, but also because he has no idea what he is talking about. It is not his fault that he doesn't know, but he is so insensitive to the destruction he has unknowingly caused in her life.
It is the truth, but he put her in that position.
