I got the call in the middle of the night. Santiago was worried about Ariel.

"Santiago, what do you mean she blacked out in pain?" I almost yelled,

"Yes Beta, she yelled in pain and then passed out. She is out and writhing her teeth in pain…" he informed,

"So, what could it be?" I don't have any idea what could be happening to her.

"The king… he must be betraying her…." Santiago suggested that as a possibility.

"Wait, do you mean to say, she feels the mate bond?" I blurted,

"I believe so, Beta…" he replied,

f**k… my friend is really messing things up. "I will keep Max busy…" I stood up from my bed.

"What's happening?" Vi mumbled next to me.

"I have to talk to Max…I'll be back as soon as I am done." I pecked her lips and made my way out of my floor.
