“Where did it go?” Max stared around with a wide-eyed gaze.
Thick red smoke appeared before his eyes and enveloped the ghost-banshee. Within a twinkling of an eye, the ghost-banshee disappeared with the smoke.
Max focuses his gaze on Jasmine. He needed to satisfy his curiosity. As Jasmine was taking her time to answer, he drew closer to her, grabbing her gently by the shoulder. He stared deep into her eyes. “Where did it go?”
His soothing voice made it clear to Jasmine that he isn’t demanding to know but just asking politely. The last time he heard about thick red smoke taking souls away, the final destination of the souls are hell.
Jasmine looked away as a sob left her lips. She’s ashamed of what she has done. They could be another way but she needed to act fast before one of them gets hur……
