“Oh no, Jas!” Max exclaimed with both hands on his head. He slowly lowered his hands as he leans on a walnut tree. “We could have taken him out if you told me earlier.”
Max isn’t cool with how Jasmine persuaded him for them to leave the scene of the lake. If only Jasmine told him before now that the fish-man he saw inside the lake is Triton Poseidon’s son, he would have troubled the lake and forced Triton out. Max is more concerned about Triton going to his father to tell him the last place he saw them.
