Indi wakes in the morning, the sun is beaming through the open curtains, her hand slowly slides to Blake’s side of the bed, there are no signs that he has returned, it hasn’t changed at all. There is no scent, there is no heat and there are no wrinkles to reveal he was there for even a moment.
Indi looks at the open curtains. Blake usually closes them if he leaves before her, allowing her an uninterrupted sleep. She looks at the bedside table. There is no usual thermal cup filled with coffee, made to her exact requirements. There are no flowers, no token of his apology, no extravagant gifts, no heartfelt letter.
Indi lies in the bed staring up at the ceiling. Her plans may have changed. She hasn't given up hope on Vance, but maybe she needs to slow her approach. His push back was unexpect……
