Ashton age ten
I can’t believe a sister would even rely on her brother so much, but it wasn’t hard to convince him that she was only going to be a leech. And he wouldn’t be able to make any friends. We were all in year six so we all were going to high school in September. I personally couldn’t wait to get the next five years out of the way so I can get the hell out of this dump.
My friends are the coolest guys ever. We've all been friends since nursery. We’ve inseparable. When the new family moved in a few days ago we were all eager to find out who had moved in, we were all curious as the vans parked up and started unloading all of her furniture. We watched the off roader park up. A lady got out the drivers side then opened the back door and two kids got out a boy and a girl. I smirked, we'd found ourselves a new kid to turn into us. Yes we were the bad boys of the school always getting into trouble with the teachers and always ending up in the principal's office and things weren’t going to ever change even what we got to high school. “She’s cute.” Bryce, commented.
I looked at the boys’ sister. I had to admit his sister was cute, but there was no way I was going to invite a girl into our group no way. Had to get to know this kid and get him into our group.
On Saturday I walked up to his house. My mom didn’t really care where I was as long as I was with my friends and used my head and not talked to strangers. I walked up to their house as luck had it they were outside in the garden doing their own thing. So I introduced myself and he introduced himself and told me his sisters’ name was Courtney, such a cute name for a cute girl but there was still no way I’d never allow any girl into click. He asked if she could bring her with us. I denied it cause there was no way I was letting my friends get near this angel. She was too delicate and innocent to go anywhere near any of us, he was reluctant at first but agreed to go but he told her to go into the house and tell their mom where he was. “Nice move , you’re learning.” I smirked at her and she didn’t look too impressed like the hell I care. She went inside and we continued to my house. He still looked reluctant but followed nevertheless.
I introduced him to my friends and they instantly talked to him. I was happy with that, they knew my plan and they were down with it.
Time flew by quickly then he started to panic when he realised the time and he said he had to go home so did my friends. I decided to be a good friend and walk him back though we lived three houses down. His mom was waiting for him and boy did she looked angry. I acted innocently but she wasn't buying any of it, so I told him goodbye and I’d see him Monday.
And here it was Monday. He and his sister got out of the car and suddenly the mood shifted like they were two different kids than they were yesterday. ‘“Hey Tucker!” I shouted, calling him over.’
He smiled and I watched as he tried to say goodbye to her and she totally ignored him. He sighed and made his way over to us. “Hey guys.”
“Hey what’s up with your sister? Did you fall out of something?’
“We had an argument now she won’t ever look or talk to me.”
I nodded. I hoped I hadn’t caused the sudden shift in their relationship, what the hell did I care?I was the great Ashton “Asher” Barraman.
The bell rang and we all headed inside. “Don’t worry man she’ll come round.” Jesse intervened.
“I hope so.”
“She will.” I concluded knowing full well she wouldn’t. “So how’s about you coem over after school?”
“Mom said I had to bring Courtney. Sorry.”
WTH?
“Sorry dude, no girls.”
“Try and explain that to my mom.”
“I will.” I said, there was no way there are going to be any girls around us.
