Nerina's POV
I was crying and sulking most of the way back to the packhouse.
I have been so occupied with all the sh*t that was going on, that I haven't even noticed that I have deeply longed for my family.
Father would have known what to do in such situations, but he wasn't here to guide me now. I have missed him the most.
I was glad that I was able to speak to at least my grandfather, even if I could only see his wolf.
Grandfather's warning was popping up constantly in my mind, and Zira whimpered every time I was thinking of it. She knew what I was about to do, and she wasn't too happy about it. She even went as far as to try and convince me not to proceed and drop out of the competition.
