Chapter 46: Broken?

Sorry for the long wait! There were a lot of factors involved in my delay for writing this chapter, & its mostly the usual: work, family, etc. However, there was another major reason, & it's honestly that this chapter was a difficult one to get through. I tried to write a normal steamy scene between Yesi & Nox, but it just didn't feel right. It felt like an erotic scene just for the sake of filling up space--it didn't further the plot in any way, & I don't see a need for any scenes that don't do that even in the smallest of ways. I was torn between writing what I felt the readers wanted--smut for the sake of smut, regardless if it made sense for the characters--& writing what I wanted, which was a chapter that touched on trauma & healing before dropping a plot bomb. Plus, it also felt as if all Yesi & Nox did was hook up, & I wanted to show more substance in their romance, even if it is still early in the story & their meeting.
