The last week went by in a blur. I attended school only two days that week, because the news got out that my family was the one who turned the Alpha in, and some of the students didn't take it too well. There was once again the name calling and dirty looks. Ilia even had to punch some guy who wanted to shove me on the locker, and there's nothing more embarrassing than your baby brother needing to protect you.
Vanya decided we would stay at Nor's cottage for a few days until the emotions in the Pack wore off, and being confined to four walls, even as stylish as Norvin's summer house, wasn't serving my head well.
I had way too much time to dwell on the implications of my actions. Yes, I got the justice for Claudia I wanted, but I can't shake off the feeling that her death was just a secondary ……
